Distinguished Seniors Shine

Seniors have been waiting all year to graduate so they can embark on a higher level of learning but before they graduate they have their awards ceremony. Seniors dressed in their gowns walked down the aisle ways in the auditorium and were seated as family friends and the class of 2011 looked on. The amount of scholarships the seniors got was phenomenal. They earned an impressive 2.8 million.

The most scholarship awards were handed out to Katie Hudson, Christopher Martini, and Lacey Smith, each of whom received 7 different scholarships.
Fifty-six seniors received scholarships. Of those 33 earned more than one scholarship.
Three other students–Brandon Barcikowski, Kristen Needer, Bethany Albritton–each received 6 scholarships.
The most medalled student was Christopher Martini, who received medals for guitar, science, social studies and technology education. Martini was the salutatorian, and he received six additional awards of distinction.
Another highly decorated graduate was Valedictorian Christopher Mahone. He received the medal in mathematics, the BCPS ethics award, the faculty award of excellence, and 7 other awards of distinction.
